Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “At present an internal inquiry is being conducted into all the cases. A committee is also being formed to improve the system of NTA… it will be improved. I accept this unfortunate incident. As the Education Minister, I take moral responsibility for it. The matter of NEET and UGC NET is different.”

Children’s interest is paramount – Education Minister

The Union Education Minister said, “We appeal to the lakhs of children of the country that the interest of the children is paramount for us. No one will be allowed to play with their future, whoever is guilty will not be spared. Bihar Police is also investigating the NEET case. We will soon reach a logical end. The main theme of NEET was grace marks, but later things have changed. Many children have come from different circumstances.”

‘The culprit will not be spared’

On the question raised by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, the Union Education Minister said, “Today I do not want to talk about politics, but I would like to assure the children that no culprit will be spared. We should have faith in our system and the government will not tolerate any kind of irregularity or malpractice. Isolated incidents of irregularities should not affect the lakhs of students who have passed the examination in the right manner.”
